Attention! How to use and choose a rotor pump!

2022-03-13

In actual operation, the rotor pump has almost no vulnerable parts, basic maintenance free operation, simple cleaning process without dead corners, and all parts in contact with materials can be made of stainless steel materials that meet material characteristics. Its characteristics of hygiene, corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, less maintenance, high pressure, etc. make it more advantageous in conveying high viscosity and volatile materials, which cannot be replaced by other forms of pumps.

Due to the presence of gaps between operating parts, factors such as viscosity, temperature, and discharge pressure of the medium can have a significant impact on its flow rate during actual operation.
The higher the viscosity of the medium, the smaller the flow loss, but the higher the discharge pressure. Therefore, when transporting medium with high viscosity, we should try to reduce the working frequency, output pressure, and energy loss during transportation to ensure safe operation. Due to the high viscosity of the medium being transported, the choice of low-speed and high torque power is more suitable for use under this working condition.
When conveying media with low viscosity, due to the presence of fitting gaps during the processing, there will be a certain amount of internal reflux in the working state, which will result in a loss of a portion of the flow rate. There will be a certain proportion of loss compared to the theoretical flow rate. The larger the discharge pressure, the greater the loss of flow rate, and the flow rate at a certain pressure point will be 0.
So how to choose the appropriate rotor pump? When selecting, it is not only necessary to comprehensively consider the viscosity, temperature, discharge pressure and other material characteristics of the conveying medium, but also to choose appropriate speed, power, and reducer according to different medium properties, so as to meet the actual process requirements.
