Entering winter, strong cooling and snowfall across the country are gradually approaching, and in northern regions, there are even environments with temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. In this situation, it is a huge challenge for rotor pumps that are widely used in China. It utilizes the periodic conversion of multiple fixed volume conveying units within the working chamber to achieve the purpose of conveying media. If the rotor pump is placed outdoors in cold conditions, it will have a certain impact. Therefore, it is necessary to pay more attention to maintenance to prevent freezing and cracking, and shorten the service life.
1. Check if there is any looseness in the management and connection of the rotor pump. Rotate the rotor pump by hand and try to see if it rotates flexibly.
2. Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing body and observe that the oil level should be at the centerline of the oil mark. The lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in a timely manner.
3. Install the gate valve for the water outlet pipeline and the inlet vacuum gauge for the outlet pressure gauge.
4. Start the motor, when the rotor pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump, observe the appropriate pressure displayed, then gradually open the gate valve, and check the motor load condition.
5. Try to control the flow rate and head of the rotor pump within the range indicated on the label to ensure that the rotor pump operates at the highest efficiency point, in order to achieve the maximum energy-saving effect.
6. If any abnormal sound is found in the rotor pump, it should be stopped immediately to check the cause and solve it.
7. Regularly check the wear of the rotor, and replace it promptly when there is significant wear.
8. When using a rotary pump in winter, after parking, the pump body medium should be drained to prevent frost cracking.
9. When the rotary pump is not in use for a long time, it is necessary to disassemble the pump completely, wipe off any moisture, and install grease on the rotating parts and joints, and keep them properly.
